A Retrospective - How It Was Then, How It Is Now.

The opening on March 15, 2018 was well attended and the show runs until May 17, 2018. Original watercolors are hanging along with photos of current scenes so you can compare how it has changed and how it is the same. At the opening we had a book, cards, prints, and reproductions for sale. Prints can be purchased off the wall or ordered to custom specs and unframed. On opening night many enjoyed the slide show "Venice and Santa Monica Beaches - How It Was Then And How It Is Now" which juxtaposed historic watercolors with current photos of the original scenes. It is surprising how much is still the same. There was entertainment on the boardwalk and food and drink inside. During the show you can enjoy the activity on the Boardwalk and food and drink in the Sidewalk Cafe. The Venice Art Crawl begins on Windward Ave and moves toward the beach. Venice Paparazzi covered the event as did film maker Rick Howard. The show venue, Small World Books is off Windward right on the boardwalk.

the show ran from March 15 to May 17, 2018

Purchasing my watercolors

I painted my Venice / Santa Monica watercolors on heavy deckle edged paper. Many of them were produced as Giclee prints and cards which are available immediately. The originals have been digitized and are available for licensing. There are many ways you can own and display my work.

Why beach life was so amazing

It was the summer of '74

I love you Venice. I met you in the summer of 1974, that crazy summer of the nude beach, and fell instantly in love with the freedom of the place. You let me be, let me find myself!
When not in my studio, I spent long hours on the Walk, drinking in the history that just pours from the walls of the old buildings and feeling the vibrations of its people.
