Why 1979 Revisited?

The beach communities of Venice and Santa Monica were different in 1979. My watercolors document this amazing time as no others do. There are few if any photographs available from this period and place. When I arrived in 1974 I was enthralled with the energy and the eclectic nature of this beach front life. Many things have changed, others have stayed the same. I produced a series of drawings and after that watercolors that captured this slice of history.
